With roots in Fátima, Raquel moved to Lisbon to graduate in Nutrition Sciences. Throughout her professional career her corporate and management interests spoke higher, leading to mastering Management in the Executive Program of Católica Lisbon Business & Economics.

In almost 10 years in Grupo BEL she developed duties in Marketing Department and Advice to the Administration, assuming in 2022 the challenge of structuring a Sustainability Department, which she leads.

Since the beginning of the Sustainability Department, this department has developed multiple ESG related jobs, such as the 2030 Sustainability Strategy, the participation in several national and international forums, being distinguished with 2 honor mentions and 3 awards.

Raquel joins the Board of Directors in November 2024 following the purpose assumed by the Governance Structure to integrate Sustainability in leadership management.
