GROWTH, INNOVATION AND PURPOSE AT THE 2026 KICKOFF

The BEL Group’s Reading Club hosted the Group’s Kickoff. The session was structured around the three pillars of the company’s 25th anniversary: Growth, Innovation and Purpose. It was also under this banner that Marco Galinha opened the meeting. The Founder and CEO of the BEL Group spoke before an audience of managers and directors from the Group’s companies to outline the strategic plans for the coming decade. Marco Galinha explained that the path forward will largely involve the consolidation of the Logistics division and growth in the Software sector.

The Kickoff featured a presentation on Artificial Intelligence (AI) by Fernando Simões of Bel Inovação, focusing on the applications, risks and opportunities of AI applied to business practice. This was followed by a presentation from one of the Group’s newest partners, Valor T (Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa), an employment agency for people with disabilities. Presenting the project were Vanda Nunes, director of Valor T, and Miguel Vieira, a Paralympic champion for Portugal and a contributor to this project.

WE CREATE SOCIAL VALUE, WE ARE PRESENT

22 YEARS WITH SPACE AS OUR MISSION

The BEL Group’s March newsletter highlighted the 22nd anniversary of Active Space Technologies. The Taveiro-based company operates in the space sector and, over the past two decades, has been involved in leading international missions, notably in collaboration with the European Space Agency. In the area of Governance, we are kicking off the celebrations for the BEL Group’s 25th anniversary. Throughout the year, we will have various events to mark this quarter of a century. The theme for the celebrations is based on Growth, Innovation and Purpose: values that have been with us since day one.

March is the month in which International Women’s Day is observed. To mark this occasion, our reading suggestions are exclusively by female authors. The catalogue, as one would expect, is sold and distributed by VASP. In terms of social responsibility, we are announcing the renewal of our partnership with the Portuguese League Against Cancer, which involves supporting the ‘Mexer contra o Cancro’ initiative. March brings spring and, with it, the typical seasonal allergies. We offer some tips on how to cope better with allergies. Plenty of reasons to read and re-read the March issue of E.BEL, available in https://grupobel.pt/wp-content/uploads/AF_E.BEL-03_2026.pdf. Happy reading.

GOLDEN EAGLE, A GROWING PROJECT

The recovery of the Golden Eagle is probably the most iconic project of the BEL Group. Located in Quinta do Brinçal, in Rio Maior, a condominium is growing that extends over 600 hectares. When it is fully operational, it will have networked services and equipment, a hotel, residences, golf courses and other spaces for sports and leisure, all designed to create its own and differentiated lifestyle.

With a privileged location, Golden Eagle benefits from its proximity to the country’s capital but also to regions of enormous cultural wealth, which makes this a unique project in the country and in Europe. The first phase of the allotments is being prepared and daily a team works in the most varied valences to make real a vision of making this the place where we all want to live one day.
