José Hernâni Fernandes holds a degree in Business Management from the Instituto Politécnico de Leiria. He has built a solid and multifaceted career in the financial and business sectors, accumulating extensive experience in management and administration roles.

Currently, he serves as Manager at Equinotec – Soluções de Engenharia, Unipessoal, Lda., and is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors at ICEL – Indústria de Cutelarias da Estremadura, S.A. Additionally, he is a Board Member at various companies, including Mountain Water, S.A., Naveprinter – Indústria Gráfica do Norte, S.A., and Amaral & Filhos – Distribuição, S.A.

With over two decades of professional experience, José Hernâni Fernandes has made a name for himself in the banking sector, starting his career as a Personal Manager at Finibanco (2001–2002) before moving to BPN, where he held a similar position (2002). In 2004, he joined EuroBic as a Business Manager, later becoming the Senior Business Manager, a role he held until 2023.

In July 2025, he was appointed Executive Director at Grupo Bel, S.A., further solidifying his reputation as a leading manager.

Beyond his professional journey, he is known for his strategic vision, leadership skills, and strong commitment to the development of the organizations he is involved with. He also contributed to the community as Vice-President of the Supervisory Board of União Desportiva de Leiria for two terms, reinforcing his connection to both the local community and sports.
