The Grupo BEL unveiled the mural “Feminist Flamingo, 2023” by the artist Bordalo II, a work created to mark Women’s Day and celebrate Gender Equality, which combines pieces from the Small Trash Animals series with the artist’s most interventive series, Provocative.
Marco Galinha, CEO of the Grupo BEL opened the inauguration session, welcoming all those present, addressing a special greeting to all women, in which he highlighted that “International Women’s Day makes us reflect on values that are structural to any society and any organisation: equality and freedom”.
VASP is present at the 93rd edition of the Book Fair, that takes place from May 25th to June 11th, at Parque Eduardo VII, in Lisbon, with 2 stands of its own (B30 and B31).

Marco Galinha was present at the opening of the second and last day of the Sustainability and Society Forum, an initiative of the Global Media Group (GMG) in partnership with Galp, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, INATEL Foundation, BEL Group and Matosinhos City Hall. This International Summit had a remarkable panel of participants and was an important stage for the debate of ideas and where ways to build a more sustainable and inclusive future were presented.
Active Space Technologies, a Grupo BEL universe company, has collaborated on the Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) mission, a European Space Agency (ESA) project that aims to study Jupiter’s space system. The probe, which will be launched from French Guiana on April 13 towards Jupiter is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including a mean gain antenna (MGA) guidance and adjustment mechanism, produced by Active Space’s team.
Active Space Technologies was responsible for the delivery of JUICE’s medium gain antenna (MGA) pointing mechanism, ensuring the co-engineering, manufacturing, assembly, verification and testing of all models (validation and flight).
The second edition of ESG WEEK, an initiative of the APEE – Portuguese Association for Business Ethics, will take place between April 17 and 21, with the Grupo BEL as Bronze Sponsor. The aim of the initiative is to debate the issue of Sustainability and how one can invest and protect the environment and build a more sustainable world, guided by solid ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) policies.

The BEL Group has just acquired exclusive control of the company Amaral & Filhos Distribuição, S.A., a company that distributes and wholesales food products, as authorised by the Competition Authority, in an operation carried out through the vehicle company EDA – Empresa de Distribuição Alimentar.
