ESG AT THE CENTRE OF GOVERNANCE

BEL GROUP PRESENTS DEI POLICY AND EQUALITY PLAN

Both documents were approved at the first meeting of the Board of Directors in 2026. These policies apply across all companies and employees within the Group. The Equality Plan is based on the 2022 Gender Equality Plan and the work carried out since then. It is structured around seven dimensions: Strategy, Mission, and Values; Equal Access to Employment; Initial and Continuing Training; Equal Working Conditions; Parental Protection; Work-Life Balance; and Prevention of Harassment in the Workplace.

The other document approved was the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Policy, which defines the company’s vision and commitments in the management of People and social issues, in coordination with the Group’s values and the commitments of the 2030 Sustainability Strategy. Both documents can be consulted on the BEL Group website, as well as other policies, plans, and codes in force, which also result from the exponential growth in the number of employees and companies in recent years.

JANUARY E.BEL HIGHLIGHTS SUSTAINABILITY

The BEL Group’s January newsletter is now available. In this issue of E.BEL, the main highlight is the publication of the company’s fifth Sustainability Report. In the message published at the beginning of the document, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Marco Galinha, emphasizes that the importance the company attaches to this area is reflected in the “development and implementation of policies to create and generate a positive impact on society,” in order to “continue to generate value in the economy, society, and communities.”

E.BEL also brings news of the launch of Active Space Technologies’ new website, with a completely revamped look and a clearer, more functional structure. In the world of VASP, students from the 26th edition of the Postgraduate Course in Security Management and Administration at the Autonomous University of Lisbon visited as part of a partnership between the two entities, and the certification with the “From waste to resources – Zero Landfill” seal, awarded by Saica Natura, was renewed. In the first newsletter of the year, the book recommendations were for works that touch on structural themes such as citizenship, equity, and empathy. GOLDEN EAGLE, A GROWING PROJECT

The recovery of the Golden Eagle is probably the most iconic project of the BEL Group. Located in Quinta do Brinçal, in Rio Maior, a condominium is growing that extends over 600 hectares. When it is fully operational, it will have networked services and equipment, a hotel, residences, golf courses and other spaces for sports and leisure, all designed to create its own and differentiated lifestyle.

With a privileged location, Golden Eagle benefits from its proximity to the country’s capital but also to regions of enormous cultural wealth, which makes this a unique project in the country and in Europe. The first phase of the allotments is being prepared and daily a team works in the most varied valences to make real a vision of making this the place where we all want to live one day.
